This is one of the lesser known antivirus products out there. However, you should never rule out software just because the name isn’t well-known. In fact, a lot of software out there like this can usually do a perfect job while offering prices that are half that of the ones that pop into your head when you think of virus protection. So does PC Tools Antivirus hold up and take care of business? That’s exactly what we wanted to find out so we put it to the test and here is our review.

First off, the interface is really nice. We found that it is extremely user friendly and can be used by basic and advanced users alike. The great interface would be worth nothing if the program didn’t function properly so we quickly moved on to the next task. We planted numerous viruses on a few different test PCs and installed PC Tools Antivirus on each of them as well. We ran the scan and it found the threats very quickly. In fact, the scan process itself was much faster than that a lot of the previous programs we have tested. Normally we can start a scan, go make a sandwich, and then come back to watch it scan while we eat. Now the scan wasn’t lightning fast or anything, but it is worth noting that it is faster than most.
