Ah, computer problems have you in the market for a Windows registry cleaner? We completely understand and that is why we have the registry repair category on our website with reviews like this. It’s no surprise that registry errors can cause a lot of trouble to your computer such as continually slowing performance. It’s not that your computer is getting outdated…it is because your registry is full of junk and slowing you down! We want you to make the right choice by reading unbiased reviews on the products that are available on the internet. With that said let’s get straight to the review.
When we first opened the program we all really liked the slick look and feel of the program. We know you should never judge a book by its cover, but having a nice interface is important to us when dealing with software. The ‘wizard’ type interface is very easy to use, and provides point and click solutions to your registry problems. It’s basically an all-in-one registry tool because you can scan, repair, defrag, backup, and restore your registry with ease. We ran it through some pretty tough tests to see just how well it would perform. In the end we found that it was doing an extremely thorough job and was fixing all the errors it found without any problems. Using Registry Repair Pro would do nothing but keep your PC running smoothly in the long run of things. There wasn’t a single one of our review team that had anything bad to say about this product. If you are reading this then the chances are good that you are seeking to either fix or maintain the integrity of your Windows registry. We have a solution to your problem that is definitely worth your time. We have been testing many different registry tools and this is our review of Registry Utilities. After reading this review you will have a better idea of what this program offers and how well it does the job.
You should think of your registry in the same perspective you would your own central nervous system. It basically controls how everything runs and if it gets messed up, then you can count on errors and performance issues to arise. It stores your user information, settings, preference, and much more for both software and hardware. The point of saying this is you shouldn’t choose a program that deals with your registry lightly. So let’s get to it!
During our hands on testing with Registry Utilities we were pleased with the results it gave us. First, it will scan your PC and find all the errors and issues within your registry. Registry Utilities then breaks down all the errors into an easy to read list so you can see what it actually found. This is helpful to those who think some software just pretends to scan and fix errors. Read the rest of this entry »

In these times we can’t let our PCs loose with an internet connection without having some sort of protection. This is where antivirus software comes in to play and why it is so popular today. Fix-It Utilities Professional sets out to accomplish this goal and we got our hands on it to test it. If you are thinking about purchasing a new antivirus program then this review could be worth reading.
The whole point of this software is to save you time and money by combining numerous useful tools together into an all-in-one package. This is something we always like to see because most of us live on a budget and even if you don’t you most likely don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars to protect every aspect of your PC. What Fix-It Utilities Pro offers is protection in the form of an antivirus, antispyware, PC diagnostics, and repair. Of course this all means nothing to us without us testing it so that is exactly what we did. We loaded up Fix-It Utilities Pro on a few different test PCs with different problems that we planted on each one. Our first PC was loaded up with quite a few serious viruses so we were most anxious to test this PC. We ran the test and every single virus was detected and cleaned up. This impressed us because some of the viruses we had on the PC would become even more dangerous as time progressed. The second PC we had going was loaded up with over 100 different types of spyware. Keeping your computer safe can seem like a task that will never be easy to accomplish. When it comes to protecting your computer there is good news and bad news. The bad news is that people are developing new viruses and exploits every single day in order to compromise your PC. The good news is that by having a single program you can defend against them and stay safe! Does Vipre Antivirus do the job? Let’s find out.
When we first loaded up Vipre Antivirus our expectations were fairly low because we had never heard of it. A friend of one of our reviewers recommended it so we thought we would give it a try. We were glad we did! The interface literally couldn’t be any better. It’s smooth and easy to use and that’s all we ask for out of any interface. The Vipre Antivirus software seamlessly combines antivirus, antispyware, and anti-rootkit protection as well as other next generation technologies to become one of the most powerful programs we have ever gotten our hands on. Vipre Antivirus pretty much covers everything you could ever worry about. Real-time protection keeps you safe from viruses from downloads, emails, etc. The anti-rookit functions search, find, and disable any malicious processes, threats, files, modules, registry keys, and Alternative Data Streams it finds. It doesn’t matter if they are completely hidden or not because Vipre Antivirus will find it. Although the protection is extremely efficient there is another feature of this product that is worth mentioning. Read the rest of this entry »

This is one of the lesser known antivirus products out there. However, you should never rule out software just because the name isn’t well-known. In fact, a lot of software out there like this can usually do a perfect job while offering prices that are half that of the ones that pop into your head when you think of virus protection. So does PC Tools Antivirus hold up and take care of business? That’s exactly what we wanted to find out so we put it to the test and here is our review.
First off, the interface is really nice. We found that it is extremely user friendly and can be used by basic and advanced users alike. The great interface would be worth nothing if the program didn’t function properly so we quickly moved on to the next task. We planted numerous viruses on a few different test PCs and installed PC Tools Antivirus on each of them as well. We ran the scan and it found the threats very quickly. In fact, the scan process itself was much faster than that a lot of the previous programs we have tested. Normally we can start a scan, go make a sandwich, and then come back to watch it scan while we eat. Now the scan wasn’t lightning fast or anything, but it is worth noting that it is faster than most. It also didn’t slow down our system performance as significantly as others do. We were impressed by the careful coding they obviously put into the software. Read the rest of this entry »

So are you looking for a program to fix registry errors and boost PC performance? If so, then perhaps we have just the solution for you. CheckIt Registry Cleaner is advertised as the most powerful tool that will clean and compact your registry. Well you know us…we don’t take their word for it. We put it through the test and evaluate for ourselves!
One thing we really like about CheckIt Registry Cleaner is that it is an extremely easy and simple tool. They don’t waste any space fluffing the program up with useless garbage. It’s there to do the job and that is all they are worried about. So kudos to them for giving us a straight shot to a cleaner and more compact Windows registry. The easy wizard approach the program takes is definitely commendable as well. If a program is too hard to use then it is likely that not many will find it useful. You don’t have to worry about that here. Read the rest of this entry »

If you have noticed that your computer has been running slower and slower over time then you are probably dealing with a messy Windows registry with errors throughout it. You may be seeing error messages or even the much hated blue screen of death. There is a pretty easy solution available to you to get rid of all of these problems though. It’s called Registry Booster. We put this software to the test and this is what we found. First of all, it is worth saying that they are so confident in the Registry Booster software that they offer a complete 30 day money back guarantee and a free trial. Not many programs come with guarantees like this so it definitely caught our eyes. We had nothing to lose!
What Registry Booster does is scan through your registry to find any and all errors that are slowing down your performance at the very least. We were happy that it cleaned up our test PC without any problems at all. We noticed an immediate increase in our performance just like the program said we would. Read the rest of this entry »

When you are dealing with the Windows registry you can enter in to a world of problems with one single mistake. This is why it is extremely important for you to go with trustworthy software that can truly handle the job safely, and not compromise the quality of a program that does anything to the registry. Registry Mechanic is worth putting your trust in! This software has been around for a good while and has gained an extremely large user base over the past few years. We think it is safe to say that it is the number one software out there for a reason. If you need to clean, fix, or optimize then you are looking in the right place. Registry mechanic can put a stop to common problems associated with registry errors such as Windows error messages, slow performance, and random crashes. With that said, it’s time to discuss our time with this product.
After first opening Registry Mechanic I was happy to see the interface was nothing but great. Everything is easy to see and all tasks are laid out for you so you can choose what needs to be done. It is really obvious that they kept in mind that both casual and expert users would be using their software. We thought that was an extremely important and wise decision on their part. Casual users can do tasks without the worry of any harm coming from it and the expert users gain the control they often desire. We started off by testing the ‘Clean Your Registry’ function on a computer that we purposely messed the registry up on. Basically, we went in and had a blast causing as many errors as we could. All of our planted mistakes were fixed in a single run so we were quite impressed to say the least. Read the rest of this entry »

If you are reading this article then it is obvious that you are seeking more information about antivirus and antispyware protection. You are smart to be concerned about issues like this because they are growing at an extremely fast rate every single day. This is exactly why we have chosen to find, download, test, and review a good amount of the software out there that says it can protect you. This is our review of CA Anti-Virus Plus Anti-Spyware 2010.
We setup a test PC fully infected with numerous nasty viruses, quite a bit of spyware, and 1000s of tracking cookies from various websites. Needless to say, the test PC was basically running as if it was built during the Stone Age once we were done. We installed CA Anti-Virus Plus Anti-Spyware 2010 and gave it the first run. The interface was simple, but very easy to use. Everything was pretty much self-explanatory. We went right for the scan. The scan didn’t take too long like some of the other software we tested so we were impressed by that alone. Although we were most impressed by the fact that it found all the stuff we loaded up on the first scan. One scan led to one clean PC. Read the rest of this entry »

Norton is the name most PC users think of when they think of antivirus software. This is not only because it has been around since 1982, but it has been packaged as trial software with most new PCs as the initial option for virus protection. So since they have been around for an extremely long time does that mean it is reliable software? We tested out Norton Antivirus 2010 and here are our thoughts.
We will start off by saying the interface for Norton Antivirus 2010 is absolutely great. Symantec, who is the developer behind Norton products, has really perfected this over the years. They have obviously put a lot of thought into their products by making them easy to use by any type of PC user. This is quite important because there are plenty of non-tech savvy people out there, and they need protection even more than advanced users do since they may not know how to spot shady websites and software. By using Norton Antivirus 2010 you are guaranteed to have up-to-date protection thanks to the pulse updates that take place at least every 15 minutes. Having protection like this can be the difference between opening an email with a new worm and getting infected, or not ever seeing the email at all because it was quickly flagged. It is also worth saying that they really improved the scan time from previous software. Read the rest of this entry »
