Registry Mechanic
When you are dealing with the Windows registry you can enter in to a world of problems with one single mistake. This is why it is extremely important for you to go with trustworthy software that can truly handle the job safely, and not compromise the quality of a program that does anything to the registry. Registry Mechanic is worth putting your trust in! This software has been around for a good while and has gained an extremely large user base over the past few years. We think it is safe to say that it is the number one software out there for a reason. If you need to clean, fix, or optimize then you are looking in the right place. Registry mechanic can put a stop to common problems associated with registry errors such as Windows error messages, slow performance, and random crashes. With that said, it’s time to discuss our time with this product.
After first opening Registry Mechanic I was happy to see the interface was nothing but great. Everything is easy to see and all tasks are laid out for you so you can choose what needs to be done. It is really obvious that they kept in mind that both casual and expert users would be using their software. We thought that was an extremely important and wise decision on their part. Casual users can do tasks without the worry of any harm coming from it and the expert users gain the control they often desire. We started off by testing the ‘Clean Your Registry’ function on a computer that we purposely messed the registry up on. Basically, we went in and had a blast causing as many errors as we could. All of our planted mistakes were fixed in a single run so we were quite impressed to say the least.
Since it passed the registry cleaning test we moved on to the ‘Defragment Your Registry’ task. This is used to organize your registry so that it will run with optimal speed. It ran without any hiccups and did exactly what it said it would do. We were again pleased with the smoothness of the programs actions. We noticed another option that caught our eye which was ‘Tuneup Your Services’. This is used to optimize and manage your Windows services. Another test…another passing grade. We started to see a pattern that we were really happy with so we went on to the ‘Optimize Your System’ option. Registry Mechanic uses this option not only to optimize your system for better performance, but to monitor it as well. We thought this was a pretty nifty addition to the program. Speaking of monitoring, you can also view your system performance report card to get an even better idea of what is going on with your PC. One of the most important features any registry program can have though is the ability to back up and restore registries. This is what makes any registry program full-proof and fool-proof! If something is accidently changed that you did not want to happen you can simply restore the backup and start back at square one.
All in all…Registry Mechanic is nothing but impressive. It works to solve any registry problems quickly and safely. If you are looking for a program that takes all the work out of registry issues then this is the one. They offer full support and updates for their product as well so you can’t really beat that. The price tag sits at $29.95 and is worth every single penny if you ask us.
